Finally Free

The demon was just a few miles from its destination. It was time. Time to enact revenge upon the villagers who ran her and her family out of town, forcing them to relocate. They would all finally get what they deserved. They would know what it was like to suffer and feel the pain felt by her so many months ago. The demon had planned this day for so long. she went over the exact scene in her head so many times before. But when she arrived, her outlook completely changed. Seeing the faces of the townsfolk in the sweet town of Chilton reminded her of something. She remembered how when their family first came to the city. She remembered how the people welcomed them into their village and treated them as family, greeting them with hospitality and gifts of all different sorts. She remembered the farmers, the ones who provided them with a surplus of food. She remembered the blacksmiths, who had forged the family fine silverware to eat with. She remembered the seamstresses, who provided her and her family with clothing to cover their bare bodies. Finally, she remembered the feeling when she first arrived in Chilton. A feeling of security, safety, and the overall feeling of family. Chilton was home. She matched the faces with names. The Smiths, the Gringolds, the McAfees, the Calders, and then the Rockefellers, but there was just one Rockefeller. What had she done? She had possessed this poor innocent girl and made her do unspeakable things! And for what cause? The demon expelled herself from the young girl, freeing her. The Rockefeller girl fell to the ground like a ragdoll. Her mother rushed to pick her up, but was stopped by the others. The mother was distraught, sobbing uncontrollably, angrily fighting the townsfolk to allow her to aid her daughter, but they would not budge.
